    Stearns Wharf Santa Barbara

Constructed in 1827, Stearns Wharf was built on what was then the longest deep-water pier between Los Angeles and San Francisco. It served the freight and passenger shipping needs of the area for over a quarter of a century, and over the years slowly was turned into a tourist attraction. The first restaurant was built here in 1941, and many more have followed over the years. Today it is the most visited landmark in Santa Barabara, and restaurants and a variety of other merchants are all located here.
